Ferroalloys

Bulk alloys for steelmaking and foundries

Bulk or base ferroalloys are fundamental iron alloys used in steelmaking and iron foundries to enhance mechanical properties and aid refining processes (for example, ferrochrome, ferromanganese, silicon manganese). Being produced in massive volumes and used in bulk quantities they are applied to enhance the mechanical properties of steel such as strength, corrosion resistance and to aid in refining processes (deoxidation and desulfurization).

Ferro Manganese

Ferro Manganese

Ferro Manganese is an additive for deoxidizing and alloying steels, improving wear resistance, corrosion resistance and performance characteristics. The useful chemical and physical properties of metal are improved, thereby enhancing its performance characteristics.

Ferro Manganese HC is in stock in our warehouse. The alloy is packed in 1 mt big-bags. Product size ranges 10-150 mm.

Ferro Silicon

Ferro Silicon

Ferro Silicon reduces electrical energy loss and increases hardness, tensile strength, oxidation resistance, elastic and yield strength. The higher the silicon content in ferrosilicon, the lower its density and weight. The ferroalloy is used for deoxidizing and alloying steels and modifying cast iron. In the foundry industry, it is used to produce steel and cast iron castings. Ferrosilicon is used to smelt alloy and special steels (heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant, spring, structural, electrical). The alloy is extremely resistant to acids, so it is used to manufacture acid-resistant products.

The alloy is packed in 1 mt big-bags. Product size ranges 5-150 mm. Chemical composition depends on the product grade.

Ferro Silico Manganese

Ferro Silico Manganese

Ferro Silico Manganese is used for alloying and effective deoxidation of steel. It improves strength, impact resistance and wear resistance. It is used in industry as a reducing agent for the production of Ferro Manganese and metallic Manganese, as an alloying material and deoxidizer in the production of low-alloy and high-quality structural steels. Moreover, the deoxidation efficiency of ferroalloys is higher than that of Silicon and Manganese alone. Furthermore, the presence of Ferro Silico Manganese imparts such properties to iron alloys as strength, impact resistance, brittleness upon bending, wear resistance.

The alloy is packed in 1 mt big-bags. Product size ranges 5-150 mm. Chemical composition depends on the product grade.
